AlgenibAlgenib has been into astronomy for about 15 years. The large picture shows her in front of her Montreal, Canada area home with her trusty Celestron 4.5" reflector on a Polaris mount. As everyone who has chatted with algenib knows, she also loves the social part of astronomy. In fact, she runs her own little astronomy club. "I love to teach it, show it and do it!" Algenib has started doing some astrophotography, and also has done some lovely watercolor space art.

Antares, Gina Fedon, is a native of Italy but now lives in Overland Park, Kansas, with her husband, EverStar.  Gina has an 8" Celestron dob and is building a 16" TeleKit.  She is shown here with EverStar's 24" Starmaster.

AstromanAstroman is Steve Dodder in real life and lives about 40 miles Southwest of Phoenix in a secluded spot called "Hidden Valley Estates" where he's owner/operator/benefactor of a small observatory named Stone Haven. Stone Haven contains a permanent pier for his 8" Celestron SCT and gives access to fairly dark skies. The small picture shows Astroman and wife, Rosie. Click on it and see them in the observatory & Steve with his C8.  Visit his web page to see more.

AstrosetzAstrosetz (Jeff Setzer), from near Milwaukee, WI, has enjoyed astronomy for 15 years and is show in the larger photo on the left with his new 22" f/4.1StarMaster. He also has a 10" f/4.5 Coulter Odyssey Compact he got when he started high school, a Dynascope RV-6 and a Meade ETX. AstroSetz has been editing the Northern Cross Science Foundation's newsletter off and on for 10 years, and is currently the group's president.

Dave_JDave_J says, "I live in just outside of Chicago. The picture of me and my 60mm Meade refractor (inset) were taken while I was in Nebraska to view the comet. I guess you could say I'm a small-scope enthusiast, tackling the universe with nothing more than a small refractor, a pair of binoculars, and my wits! :-)"

DougBDoug Bock, or DougB on IRC, is from near Fenton, MI and has been an amateur astronomer since 1965. He is pictured here with his 20" f/5 dobsonian. Doug also owns a 12.5" f/6, an 8" f/6 and a 4" f/10 SCT. He is Resident Observer for Northern Cross Observatory, DeepSky Chairman of the Warren Astronomical Society, Member of Ford Amateur Astronomy Club - Dearborn, Member of Lowbrow Astronomy Club - Ann Arbor and a Member of Genesee Astronomical Society - Flint.

ergEric Greene from Atlanta, or erg on irc, is one of the old pro's on #sciastro. If you encounter a weird problem and need advice, chances are erg has already been there and fixed it! He is shown here with his 16" StarMaster dobsonian at the 1999 Chiefland Star party.

karma.jpg (41835 bytes)My name is Karma Gardner, karmaG on mIRC, and I live in North Carolina. I enjoy deep sky observing with my newly acquired 10" dobsonian and my 4.5" reflector. I recently earned my Messier Certificate. I have attended advanced Astronomy Camp at U of AZ, and I hope to attending again :-)

AsteroidNeptunium, or Gordon Garradd as the Kangaroos call him, hides from light pollution far outside the small town of Loomberah, Australia, where he enjoys Mag. 7 skies. He chose his nick to reflect his love for observing asteroids and comets.

Voyager a few years agoVoyager is Karen Healy in "real" life and lives somewhere that is cold.  This small picture shows Voyager a few years ago (perhaps 20???) and the larger picture shows here with FlashCA at the 2002 Winter Star Party in the Florida Keys :-D

Would you like YOUR picture to be here? WE WOULD!! Please send us a picture and a short description of yourself and your scope (optional).
